Observation/response to Internet Privacy
Much like the Venn diagram posted below (Ruppert M,2013), my thoughts on internet privacy is very similar.
As times change and the world evolves more and more people will be turning to internet based sources, to save their private information and by using various applications to in theory make life easier. However laws of internet privacy are slow to realize the freedom an individual has with the knowledge of the internet, to access another’s private information.
As we become more trusting to the conforming of basing our lives around the internet, people will begin to question the security of their privacy whilst using it (google, 2013). Therefore applications holding users private information will have to be over seen by a government or law to insure the safety of user’s information(Hlongwane S, 2013). Because at current if the worst case scenario of one been skimmed on the internet, depending on if it’s a local site, the user may not have a leg to stand on, if there case does not fall under their countries derestriction. People must learn to look into the security of the application they are feeding their private information to, so they know where they stand. Like I said with the diagram, privacy, and the internet are two different things. Virtually everything you do on the big ‘wide world web’ can be traced back to you.
